Ochre Mountain Pink Series

Standing beneath towering ochre mountains recently, I couldn't help but feel the same warm, soft and protective energy radiating from them as I did a mother. The way these strong yet bright orange-pink boulders commanded authority yet wrapped you in a dreamy haze amazed me. I considered for a long time if rocks were sentient beings and if they could communicate with us what would they say? This work is an exploration of that idea and part of a series painted at the time of my matrescence when I realised that being both gentle and strong was very much possible.

An Ode to Pink is a celebration of the captivating colour of pink. This group exhibition featured a diverse collective of abstract artists taking us on a vibrant journey through hue and colour.
